DOB: April 6th, 2010 Currently priced at $8000
She is a leggy, feminine girl who is bred to excel in the show ring. Would also be a valuable addition to a breeding program looking to add more "blood" without going with a 100% TB.
Sire: Special Memories, by Olympic silver and gold medal winner Abdullah out of Kluwall, the dam of Olympic double gold winner Touch of Class .
As a four year old, Special Memories passed the 100-day test with high jumping scores. As a five year old Special Memories won the International Jumping Futurity (IJF) Championship (Devon), only his third jumping show. In 1997, he competed in his first show jumping grand prix and quickly progressed to the top levels of grand prix jumping. He finished that year with 8 clear rounds out of 12 grand prix competitions in such prestigious and top level events as the $50,000 Devon Gold Cup, the Navigator (Devon World Cup qualifier), the $50,000 Budweiser Jumping Championship, and the Madison Square Garden Welcome Stake at the National Horse Show. Special Memories has sired numerous successful offspring in multiple disciplines. Some of them include Grand Prix Jumper Thanks for the Memories, Amateur/Owner Hunter Champion Classic Memories, Grand Prix Jumper Castlerock, A/O Hunter Champion (and qualified for Devon) Special Edition and even the 2001 Res. Champion Best Young Horse at Devon, Intuition. Special Memories was also recently approved into the American Hanoverian Society, which is almost unheard of for a half TB. He has proven himself such a valued sire of jumpers that his semen has been frozen and used in Europe, as well.
Dam: Apache Peak (Galoubet).
Apache Peak is by the legendary Galoubet. Galoubet himself was an international star (winning in Wiesbaden, multiple Nations Cups, etc) and is the sire of countless international jumpers, such as Baloubet du Rouet, Caloubet du Rouet, Quatoubet, and Quick Star. Apache’s dam was imported from Sweden as a dressage horse, but made her real mark as an upper level eventer. She also produced Apache’s full sister, who went on to win in the jumper ring with her young rider. Apache’s dam-sire Mowgli jumped internationally, and has been said to have “great form and great skill”. His mare line produced Format who at one time held a high jump record of 7’5”. Apache herself was successful in the jumper ring, placing and winning at such large shows as WEF.
