Cardenia HH

Cardenia HH is a Westfalen mare by VDL's legendary stallion, Cardento. Cardenia's dam was the show-jumper Porta Westfalica who was shown in Germany prior to being imported and then amassed an extensive show record as a jumper, showing and winning at venues such as Spruce Meadows.

Cardenia showed in the Young Horse Show Series as a two year old, winning her jump chute class with an overall score of 8.14, and highlights of 8 for technique, 8.4 for front legs, 8.3 for hind legs, 8.2 for bascule, 8.0 for scope and 8.2 for willingness. 
In 2018 Cardenia was inspected and placed into the Westfalen Verband mare book, with excellent remarks from the inspector. In 2019 Cardenia produced her first foal, by Balou du Rouet (sold in utero). Cardenia had a brief stint in sport, being leased by an amateur adult, and is now back home as an important member of our broodmare band.
